CALIFORNIA DREAMIN’ on 66 – August 9 thru 12, 2012
The Route 66 International Festival for 2012 will be held in Victorville, CA from August 9-12, 2012. With the theme “California Dreamin’ on Route 66″, the Festival will attract many 66 enthusiasts from around the world, as well as car clubs and local residents. Victorville is centrally-located along the 318 miles of historic Route 66 that crosses California from Needles to Santa Monica, making it convenient to visit other key Route 66 towns and attractions.
The Festival will feature a rally, a classic car show, daily entertainment, a California-themed dinner, the Taste of 66 fair, a car cruise to a drive-in theatre, 66-themed vendors and other special events.
The National Historic Route 66 Federation will be presenting a Friday evening celebration entitled, “California 50s Dreamin”. Events including a poker run are also planned in the towns along California Route 66 both before and after the Festival.
The historic Green Tree Inn in Victorville is the host hotel and has special 3-night packages (limited availability) for our 66 travelers. Located on historic Route 66, the Green Tree incorporates a Route 66 theme and is a popular stop for travelers along the Mother Road. We suggest you make hotel reservations now to assure a room – 800-877-3644.

The Festival is sponsored by California Historic Route 66 Association with the support of the California Route 66 Museum, the Victorville Chamber of Commerce, the National Historic Route 66 Federation, the Alliance and numerous corporations.

1. Staging of cars for display 7 am ready by 9:30 am ALL DAY
CLASSIC CAR DISPLAY Static display- Chevy display, alternate fuels, Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, military vehicles.
2. Vendors set up 7 am
